René Magritte, Sputnik

This made me think of Haruki Murakami’s Sputnik Sweetheart. Dunno if it has anything to do with it, but the painting seems reminiscent of the kind of alienation that occurs in Murakami’s work. But, in this case, it might have corporate and / or political connotations of man’s ever-luminescent ambition. Over-the-top. Yes, I know.
